El tercer simposi internacional organitzat per la Fundació Dr. Antoni Esteve va donar peu a aquesta nova publicació de la sèrie Esteve Foundation Symposia centrada en l’estudi de la relació dosi-resposta en farmacologia clínica. Els professors Lasagna, Erill i Naranjo es van encarregar de l’edició del llibre que recull les diferents ponències i les respectives discussions sorgides durant el simposi. La troballa d’una clara relació entre la dosi o concentració d’un fàrmac i un determinat efecte es considera una forma fiable d’atribuir l’acció del fàrmac. L’estudi d’aquesta relació permet tant aprofundir en les característiques del fàrmac com quantificar o fins i tot preveure possibles efectes de dosis no avaluades.
