El diferente grado de fijación de los fármacos a las proteínas del plasma puede tener repercusiones clínicas importantes en determinadas enfermedades o estados fisiológicos del ser humano. El objetivo de este primer simposio internacional de la Fundación Dr. Antonio Esteve fue reunir diversos expertos sobre fármacos y su fijación proteica, a fin de discutir las bases biológicas y los mecanismos bioquímicos de esta fijación y su implicación en determinadas enfermedades. Tanto las ponencias como las discusiones aparecen en este libro Drug-protein binding editado por Marcus Reidenberg (Cornell University Medical College, Nueva York) y Sergio Erill (Fundación Dr. Antonio Esteve, Barcelona)y publicado por Praeger Scientific.
